    The draw and lineup for the 85th Middlesex Charity Sevens on August 14 has been revealed, with 16 sides battling it out for the coveted Russell Cargill Trophy.As well as including four teams that were part of the inaugural National Sevens Series, Twickenham will welcome six Premierships clubs and four international sides that are preparing for the Commonwealth Games.

    China successfully defended their Asian Womens Sevens Championship title with a comfortable 2610 victory over Kazakhstan in the final in Guangzhou, writes the IRB. Thirteen nations took part in the two day tournament with Korea and Philippines making their debut and reflecting the growth in Asian Sevens.

    Guyana have won the North America and Caribbean Rugby Association (NACRA) womens Sevens title with an exciting 1412 win over Trinidad Tobago (TT) in the final. It was their third successive regional Sevens title and also matched the achievements of their male equivalents who took Sevens gold at the CACSO Games on Sunday.
