    The Ugandan Rugby Union has released the national Sevens sides 2010 fixtures in the build up to the Commonwealth Games in October.Following the success of the Lady Cranes in that they were the first ever side to represent their country in a World Cup when they turned out for the inaugural womens tournament last year in Dubai, the governing body wants the growth to continue for both sides.

    Winning the Bowl is becoming a bit of a habit for Paul John and his Sevens World champions Wales.Following a repeat of the World Cup final in the semi final against Argentina, Wales defeated France 75 in the final in Wellington to win their third successive Bowl trophy on this years IRB Sevens World Series.

    The beauty of Sevens is that you just never quite know what to expect. Clearly New Zealand had to be hot favourites to win the NZI Sevens in Wellington, winning the previous two tournaments handsomely. But it is so competitive now at the top you can never be sure. But ultimately Fiji deserve their triumph. Its a shame for the New Zealand fans that their side fell short again but it is wonderful for the Series as it throws it all open now with Fiji only four points behind the Kiwis in the overall table.

    Australia coach Michael OConnor was ecstatic with his sides victory in the Plate final over South Africa at yesterdays NZI Sevens in Wellington.A late try to Clinton Sills helped them to a dramatic 2622 win in one of the most entertaining matches of the weekend.
